The chemical structure of Art pigments is designed to blend perfectly into the backbone structure of Epoxy resins, rendering a good blend, a homogeneous mix, even colour distribution and a long lasting finish. The influence of surfactants on the stability of cyclodextrin (CD) Pickering emulsions is not well understood. The emulsion stabilized by solid particles instead of surfactants is called Pickering emulsion, which mainly consists of spherical particles (SiO2, Fe3O4, etc.). We studied the deformation properties of single Pickering-emulsion droplets using a combination of Scanning Force Microscopy (SFM) in force spectroscopy. These pigments are highly concentrated, yet easy to disperse, which helps them blend well into Epoxy Resins. 34, low ionic strength gave higher interfacial tension at the oil- water interface, most likely due to lateral repulsive forces of charged nanoparticles. Epoxy Pigments are manufactured keeping in mind the specific needs of resin artists and craftsmen alike.
